Leigh Ankrum is a Functional Bodywork practitioner, teacher and founder of The Ankrum Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This training centre teaches practitioners to work with the body’s natural intelligence to restore health and balance, by addressing the root cause of physical challenges for each individual. Leigh has more than 37 years of experience using Osteopathic Manipulation, Visceral Manipulation, Myofascial Release (Rolfing), Neuro-Muscular Therapy, and Craniosacral Therapy, using them in to treat her patients holistically and interactively – because she believes this is the future of healthcare – and so do I.

More people are looking for a more integrated and sustainable version of healing. In Leigh’s work, she is looking at the body as a whole to find the core issues that are creating your pain patterns. The focus of Leigh’s approach is to learn the language of the body to find the origins of the dysfunction to allow the body’s own intelligence in restoring and balancing to take hold.

Listen in as Leigh and I discuss what functional bodywork is, how to work with the body as a whole and how to create sustainable healing.
